A disaster film about the 1999 storm: Prime Video unveils a teaser
Bach Buquen and Clara Pacini are the two young heroes of Tempête, a new French Prime Original film directed by Edouard Salier.
It was called the “storm of the century”.
Prime Video will take us back to the time of the storm of 1999. The platform today unveils the teaser for Storma new French disaster film which takes us back to the night of December 25, 1999, when devastating winds hit France.
For his first on-screen role, Bach Buquen, famous content creator, plays Erwan. Facing him, Clara Pacini, seen recently in The Ice Towerplays Chloé, a visually impaired teenager who will find herself trapped in the catastrophe.
“Chloé, a visually impaired teenager rebelling against an overly protective mother, decides to run away to join the party of Erwan, a handsome, popular high school boy. But it is the night of December 25, 1999: the storm of the century is preparing to devastate France and kill dozens of people. Chloé and Erwan will find themselves trapped by torrential floods and winds of 200km/h. What if, in the darkness of this apocalypse, Chloe’s disability became a superpower? What if, in this night which could well be their last, they discovered freedom, courage and love?” details the synopsis.
The cast also includes Roxane Mesquida (Kaboom), Félix Moati (Of the Living) and Artemisia Toussaint (Tomorrow belongs to us).
Written by Matthieu Rumani and Nicolas Slomka, the creators of the French Prime Original series Worship, Storm is directed by Edouard Salier, already behind Tropical.
Storm will be available on January 15, 2027 on Prime Video.
