A first French film, with Bastien Bouillon and Juliette Armanet, will open the Cannes Festival
Director Amélie Bonnin is inspired by her short film rewarded at the César, leaving one day.
In 2023, Amélie Bonnin released in vod his short musical film Leave one day, telling them reunion of two childhood friends embodied by Bastien Bouillon and the singer Juliette Armanet. Available on the Youtube channel of Arte Cinema, this film full of melancholy and sweetness won the César for the best fiction short film.
It is perhaps this recognition that gave the impetus to the French director for Adapting this story into a feature film. Amélie Bonnin takes up not only the title, but also the characters and actors of Go on a daywhile reversing the scenario.
