A year after the success of the biopic A perfect strangerTimothée Chalamet is about to find the director James Mangold for a new original project.
High Side is still in development but will be a film adapted from a new unpublished Jaime Oliveira. The project is currently circulating between several studios in search of financing and distribution. It promises to be an explosive mixture between thriller, mechanical sport and family drama.
At the center of history: Billy, ex-star of MotoGP haunted by a brutal crash and a broken family relationship. His life revolves around his dependent father and the family garage, up to the unexpected return of his older brother, Cole. The latter, already in the crosshairs of the FBI, has a plan: recruiting Billy and his virtuosity in motocross for a series of ignition on motorbikes in small cities of the desert. A lover, a wobbly team, a federal agent with a troubled past, and a final timed mission against a background of motorcycle parade … The promise of a high voltage finish.
Timothée Chalamet, which will be found by then in Marty Supreme by Josh Safdie on December 25, 2025, is currently running Dune: second part Under the direction of Denis Villeneuve. The highly anticipated film is scheduled for December 18, 2026.
