The new series by Steven Knight, the famous creator of Peaky Blinders, arrives on Netflix and unveils his first trailer.
A few months after in Thousand Blows on Disney+, which plunged into the lowlands of London in the 19th century, the British screenwriter remains in historical fresco mode.
With House of Guinness, he will tell us the heritage of the Guinness family, in Ireland on the brink of the explosion. The synopsis promises “An epic inspired by one of the most famous and oldest dynasties in Europe: the Guinness family. The series takes us to Dublin and New York in the 19th century. The story begins just after the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness, the man behind the extraordinary success of the brewery. The series explores the impact of his will on four children – Arthur) Edward, Anne and Ben – as well as on the inhabitants of Dublin, directly linked to this real Guinness phenomenon. “
The casting is particularly rich: Anthony Boyle (Masters of the Air) plays Arthur Guinness, Louis Partridge (Enola Holmes) plays Edward Guinness, Emily Fairn (Saturday Night) is Anne Plunket (née Guinness) and Fionn O’Shea (normal people) Camp Benjamin Guinness.

House of Guinness is a historic rock N’Roll drama in 8 episodes which will be available on Netflix from September 25.
