Mike Flanagan will make a DC film about an enemy of Batman: Clayface

James Gunn chose Tom Rhys Harries to embody the DC character, in a film shot towards horror.

Obviously, James Gunn Do not count on stars for its DC Universe. The boss of DC Studios intends to rely on new heads and emerging talents.

After David Corenswet in Superman Or Aaron Pierre in Green LanternIt is Tom Rhys Harries who will play Clayface In the next film produced by DC Studios.

The announcement was made by James Gunn Himself on social networks: “After a long and extremely exhaustive search, we finally found our Clayface of the DCU in the person of Tom Rhys Harries. Matt Reeves and I were completely amazed by this guy. We can’t wait for this film.”

The film, produced by Matt Reeves (The Batman), is written by Mike Flanagan (The Fall of the House of Usher) and produced by James Watkins (Eden Lake). Far from the classic standards of the superhero film, Clayface promises to be a pure nightmare of Body Horror. The narrative follows a series B actor ready to do anything to relaunch his career, until drinking a mysterious substance supposed to help him … but who literally transforms him into a man of clay. The substance DC version?
