After the Lakers, the Clippers are entitled to their series: trailer
Except this time, it's not about climbing but about crashing.
They are one of the most often mocked teams in the NBA. The Los Angeles Clippers have never won a title, always humiliated by their rivals the Lakers, the most successful team in the league. And even when it comes to TV series, they suffer comparison: while Winning Time recounted the Lakers' heyday and their return to the top in the 1980s, Clipped will recount one of the most embarrassing scandals of recent decades in the NBA.
20 years ago, the Clippers had everything to win a first title, with Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan on the floor. But everything will collapse behind the scenes because of owner Donald Sterling, guilty of racist remarks which will shock his locker room and the entire league, leading to the forced sale of the club (to Steve Ballmer of Microsoft). This is what the new FX series will tell, of which we are discovering the trailer.
“Clipped takes you behind the scenes of a famous NBA owner's racist remarks, captured on tape heard around the world. Based on the hit ESPN 30 for 30 podcast The Sterling Affairs, this limited series chronicles the collision between a dysfunctional basketball organization and an even more rotten marriage and the impact it had on the team, striving to win in the most complicated context possible, that of the most cursed team in the NBA“.
At the casting, Laurence Fishburne will be coach Doc Rivers facing Ed O'Neill as Sterling. J. Alphonse Nicholson jouera Chris Paul, Austin Scott will play Blake Griffin and Sheldon Bailey will play D'Andre Jordan.
Series Clipped will be launched on Hulu on June 4, 2024. It should immediately be visible in France on Disney Plus.
