Call of Duty soon in film! Paramount sign a deal with Activision
A live-action feature film based on the Call of Duty universe is officially under construction. But for the moment, no casting, no history, no date.
It is an Arlesian of Hollywood, who could well be on the way to materialize.
Combined for years, the adaptation as a film of the FPS video game is launched at Paramount. The studio has signed an agreement with the video game publisher Activision, now owned by Microsoft, to wear the franchise Call of Duty On the big screen.
As part of this partnership, Paramount will develop, produce and distribute a live-action feature film based on the universe Call of Dutywhich has more than 30 main games since the very first opus released in 2003. The amount of the agreement has not been revealed.
According to Variety, the deal for the moment aims at a single blockbuster, but could allow Paramount to extend the universe Call of in cinema and television.
So what will this film be Call of Duty ? And with whom?
No details have yet been given on the plot, but the franchise remains centered on first-person military shooting games, with sometimes interconnected characters and stories, as in the sub-series Black Opswhose seventh part will be released this fall.
