Frankie Muniz talks about the return of Malcolm: “Fans will be surprised”
Four new episodes, 20 years later, will be broadcast before the end of the year on Disney Plus.
Do you already think you know what Malcolm will give?
According to Frankie Muniz, you are wrong. Malcolm’s revival for Disney Plus will not be what everyone is waiting for.
During a recent passage to the podcast “Lightweights”, the actor explained that the spectators are likely to be “surprised”, in particular to see where Hal, laws and their children are made 20 years later. “You will see where everyone is and you are going to be surprised!”
“It’s hard to keep 20 years of events in four 30 -minute episodes, you see? But I think people will be very happy with what they are going to see.”
Frankie Muniz was particularly enthusiastic about filming, describing experience as “the best moment in my whole life”. He added: “I do not exaggerate by saying that I loved the shooting of this reboot … I loved it so much, much more than I would have ever imagined.”
The official synopsis promises that “Malcolm and his daughter will be trained in family chaos when Hal and Laws demand his presence for their 40th wedding anniversary.”
This return will see the reunion of the original distribution, with Bryan Cranston, Jane Kaczmarek, Christopher Masterson and Justin Berfield. However, Erik Per Sullivan, who played Dewey, the youngest of the brothers, will not be there. Its role will be taken up by Caleb Ellsworth-Clark. Other new actors, such as Kiana Madeira and Anthony Timpano, also join the series.
The return of Malcolm is planned to go out on Disney+ in December 2025.
