The Riders, the next film from Oscar-winning director Edward Berger, will be produced by the A24 studio.
New international stage for Camille Cottin.
After having given the answer to Matt Damon in Stillwaterthe French actress joins the cast of The Ridersthe next film from Oscar-winning director Edward Berger, honored for In the West Nothing new and saluted for Conclave. A major project carried out by the A24 studio with Brad Pitt in the lead.
It should be noted that Cottin and Pitt had already crossed paths almost twenty years ago – briefly – on the set ofAllies by Robert Zemeckis (also with Marion Cotillard). And also in a small commercial filmed in Japan for a bank, on the theme of French culture and directed by Wes Anderson (see below)…
So what will we talk about? The Riders ?
Adapted from the novel by Tim Winton, the film will follow the journey of Scully, an Australian launched across Europe with his young daughter Billie, in search of his wife who disappeared without explanation. An intimate tale of escape and heartbreak, carried here by Brad Pitt in the lead role.
Around him, in addition to Camille Cottin, whose role is still kept secret, we will see in the casting Michael Smiley (Bad Sisters), Danny Huston (The Aviator), and Ulrich Thomsen (Lanterns). The film, shot in several European countries, entered production this week.
The screenplay is by David Kajganich, with Ridley Scott and Michael Pruss producing for Scott Free.
