Daniel Day-Lewis makes his comeback to the cinema: first image revealed
The actor with the three Oscars comes out of his retirement, to make a film with his son. And it’s called Anemone.
At 60, Daniel Day-Lewis had decided to retire.
In 2017, just after the sumptuous Phantom Thread From Paul Thomas Anderson who had earned him a sixth appointment to the Oscar for best actor, Daniel Day-Lewis chose to withdraw from the profession. But today, at 68, he signed his comeback to the cinema.
A sentimental come back, since it is to play in the first film of his son Ronan Day-Lewis, who is called Anemone. And Focus Features did not hesitate to publish the very first official photo offering an overview of the big screen of the most ossurned actor of all time (three statuettes of best actor for My Left Foot (1989), There will be blood (2007) and Lincoln (2012), no one has done better), which displays a huge mustache for the occasion.
