Christian Clavier and Didier Bourdon reunite for Cocorico 2: trailer

The continuation of the comedy which makes fun of our origins.

“I’m Turkish! Did you know?”

Christian Clavier has not finished strangling himself with his not-French enough origins. Two years after the 2 million surprise entries for the first part, the sequel to the comedy arrives and is called… Cocorico 2.

“After discovering the truth about their origins, thanks to DNA tests with surprising results, to say the least, the Bouvier-Sauvage and the Martins decide to bury the hatchet, to organize the marriage of their children. But this was without counting on a major unexpected event: a cousin of Frédéric was found thanks to the tests… Revealing that the results were erroneous. The two families will discover that their ancestors have not finished surprising them!” advances the synopsis.

In this case, the cousin in question is Turkish and his name is Mehmet. And he will be played by Christian Clavier himself, as evidenced by the trailer, which shows that his character will collapse upon discovering that he has… 0% French origin!

Didier Bourdon will always be at his side to accompany the farce, alongside Sylvie Testud and Marianne Denicourt in the role of the wives.

Directed by Julien Hervé, Cocorico 2 will be released on April 8, 2026 in cinemas in France.
