Costa-Gavras will receive the Honorary César in 2025

The director of Z, L’Aveu, Amen and Le Couperet will be rewarded during the 50th ceremony on February 28.

The creator of Killer compartment, Z, The Confession, Amen or even The Cleaver (which should be the subject of a remake by Park Chan-wook), will receive the Honorary César on February 28. A prestigious trophy which joins its previous awards in France, but also internationally, since Gosta-Gavras has already won Oscars (best foreign film for Zin 1970, best adapted screenplay for Missing…), a Palme d’Or, in 1982, for this same work carried by Jack Lemmon and Sissy Spacek, a Golden Bear for Music boxin 1990, and of course a first César: that of best screenplay ofAmenin 2003.

The 50th César ceremony will be broadcast unencrypted, live and exclusively on Canal + on February 28, 2025, from the Olympia in Paris.
