Coyote vs Acme: a first photo for the film in search of a distributor
The project abandoned by Warner Bros. still looking for a new home.
Coyote vs Acme was initially supposed to be released in July 2023, before paying the price for the new policy of Warner Bros., who wanted to cancel it purely and simply, as Batgirl by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah. Under pressure from the film industry, the studio finally gave up and put this film on sale for $70 million, mixing animation and live action and featuring the character of Vile Coyote.
Tired of chasing Bip Bip in vain, the Coyote decides to turn against Acme, the company that manufactures all the defective products he uses to try to capture him. He then goes to the real world and sues Acme by hiring a down-on-his-luck lawyer (Will Forte). The latter realizes that it is his former boss (John Cena) who defends Acme’s interests.
Eric Bauza, the voice actor of the famous coyote, took advantage of the new year to publish an exclusive image of Coyote vs Acme on X, with description: “See you in 2024!“We discover the Coyote in court alongside his lawyer.

However, nothing is certain in this story. A month ago, Deadline claimed that Paramount and Amazon, in addition to Netflix, were interested in the film. But nothing has been made official, and Coyote vs Acme is still an orphan. Is Eric Bauza’s post a cry of hope, or the promise of an upcoming announcement? To be continued.
