Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride will continue their journey into the wild and dangerous lands of Spain in 2027.
Here’s Daryl Dixon again!
While Walking Dead fans are currently bingeing episodes of season 3 of Dead City, the saga will continue in 2027 with season 4 of the other series led by Norman Reedus.
The American channel AMC has just revealed the first teaser of what will be the last chapter. A 20-second video that opens with Daryl lying down with his eyes closed. His face pale, covered in cuts and wounds, he appears to have been seriously mistreated. The scene then shifts to a rocky, desert landscape, where a zombie turns towards the camera before letting out a guttural scream. We then discover a group of zombies chasing several humans who are trying to take shelter. Then Daryl wakes up to the sound of some ominous words: “Welcome home, son.” The trailer also allows us to see Melissa McBride, back in the role of Carol Peletier.
While Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride have now been carrying the franchise for several years, Dan McDermott, president of AMC Entertainment and Studios, praised their journey: “Through two extraordinary series spanning nearly two decades, Norman and Melissa brought to life two of the most iconic characters in television history. Daryl and Carol offered fans an unforgettable and deeply human journey of challenge, survival, hope and friendship.”
This final season of the post-apocalyptic horror series will follow Daryl and Carol, who try to maintain hope despite growing uncertainty. Their goal remains the same: to find a way to return home and reunite with their loved ones. The official synopsis for the final season reads: “As they traverse the ravaged lands of Spain, Daryl (Reedus) and Carol (McBride) cling to hope – and each other – as uncertainty about their future grows.”
