Elsa Zylberstein goes behind the camera for her first film
The actress will direct her very first feature film. A bittersweet comedy entitled My Best Life, in which she will also play the main role.

According to UGC, filming will begin on August 10. Elsa Zylberstein will co-direct this first feature film with Michael Pierrard, with whom she had already collaborated on Evening myththe series of sketches broadcast on social networks during confinement.
She will play a failed actress whose mother, who suffered a stroke, is convinced that her daughter has become a huge film star. Rather than disabuse her, the heroine decides to invent a life for her that lives up to her dreams.
“The film is actually about the power of imagination. The message is simple: believe in your dreams. Imagination can save you”explains Elsa Zylberstein (via Variety). “It’s also a story between a mother and her daughter. I’ve always been fascinated by the way people reclaim reality. Everyone reinvents the truth a little.”
Miou-Miou, Mathieu Demy and Lucas Bravo complete the cast of this film, which will shoot until September 21 with a budget of 3.6 million euros.
At the same time, Elsa Zylberstein will soon play Simone de Beauvoir in the next film by Anne Fontaine, written by Christopher Hampton.
