Filming imminent for the new Superman: first behind-the-scenes photo

He is preparing to lay the first stone of his brand new DC Universe. James Gunn will begin filming Superman: Legacy in a few days. But the whole team is already gathered for the traditional joint reading of the script. The director published a behind-the-scenes photo on the networks.
We find James Gunn surrounded by the entire cast including David Corenswet as Clark Kent alongside Nicholas Hoult, shaved head, to become Lex Luthor (top center). There is also Rachel Brosnahan aka Lois Lane (bottom right). The photo also shows Edi Gathegi (Mister Terrific), Skyler Gisondo (Jimmy Olsen), Anthony Carrigan (Metamorpho), Maria Gabriela de Faría (The Engineer), Terence Rosemore (Otis), Isabela Merced (Hawkgirl) and finally Nathan Fillion (Guy Gardner) to take the photo. “All together for the first time! What a beautiful day” writes James Gunn. The only thing missing from the photo is the last cast, namely Milly Alcockwho is expected to make an appearance in Supergirl.
James Gunn will direct Superman: Legacywith David Corenswet in the role of the Man of Steel, Rachel Brosnahan in that of Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor.
The film is scheduled to be released on July 9, 2025.
