Franck Dubosc and Benjamin Lavernhe set the tone for the 2026 Césars with this amusing sketch

A fun little sketch to tease the 51st ceremony which is coming in a month.

In the wake of the 2026 César nominations, announced this week, the future presenter of the evening, Benjamin Lavernhe, launched the festivities with a short sketch posted on Canal Plus social networks.

The actor seen in the very beautiful series The living last year takes the stage alongside Franck Dubosc who will, without a doubt, be one of the most followed nominees of the 51st ceremony. After his remarkable “Césarillo” in 2025, the actor is really nominated, for the first time, for the screenplay of his film A Bear in the Jura.

While waiting to go on stage (or not) at the Olympia to collect his prize, the comedian slips into the role of an osteopath who tries to reassure Benjamin Lavernhe, increasingly stressed at the idea of hosting the evening (unless we would be).

“It’s certain, as soon as there is no longer Jean-Baptiste Poquelin to write the texts, it’s great dizziness. The clown is without a netn” tance Franck Dubosc in reference to the status of member of the Comédie Française of Benjamin Lavernhe.

And while the comedian tells him he feels like “possessed” by Jim Carrey – Honorary Caesar this year – Dubosc tries to reassure him:

“Jim Carrey? Don’t complain, you could have gotten stuck in Abbé Pierre!”

The joke tinged with black humor obviously refers to the biopic A life of fighting in which Benjamin Lavernhe gloriously embodied the man of the church… before Abbé Pierre was accused of countless sexual assaults! A role that has become embarrassing for the actor, but which he takes on today with mischief in this teaser for the 2026 César Awards.

The 2026 Césars will take place on February 26, 2026, live and unencrypted on Canal +.
