Game of Thrones: We know when you will release House of the Dragon 3 and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
Season 3 of House of the Dragon and the new spin-off A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms are expected in 2026. But when?
Six years after the end of Game of Thrones on HBO, the universe imagined by George RR Martin continues to extend.
But this year, no visit to Westeros. And for good reason, the spin-off in Knight of the Seven Kingdoms-adapted from news on Dunk & Egg-was postponed to 2026.
Good news: we won’t have to wait too long. During the Emmy Awards, the owner of HBO Max, Casey Bloys, confirmed that this new series derived from Game of Thrones will be broadcast in January 2026. If he did not specify the exact date, we already know that we will leave to see the 7 kingdoms from the first weeks of the new year (in France on HBO Max).
And as good news never arrives alone, Bloys reveals that there will be a double dose of Game of Thrones in 2026.
Season 3 of House of the Dragon will be released next year, “just after the EMMYS 2026 eligibility window,” said Bloys. This window is officially closed on May 31. Suddenly, the new episodes should land in June 2026 and the Targaryen war will delight us all summer.
Recall that season 2 was released at the end of summer 2024.
