Gen V unveils season 2, gateway to the end of The Boys
A trailer that promises heavy.
Last Friday, during the San Diego Comic-Con, Prime Video presented in preview the official trailer of season 2 of Gen Vrather successful spin-off of The Boys. This new season promises to be a key chapter leading directly to the conclusion of the main series. The first three episodes will be available on September 17 on Prime Video and the season will explore the consequences of chaos caused at the end of season 1, while actively preparing the field for the final of The Boys.
Present on stage for this very followed panel: the actors Jaz Sinclair, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Hamish Linklater, as well as the showrunner Michele Fazekas. The animatio was entrusted to the actor PJ byrne, himself a figure appreciated by the franchise. Fans were entitled to the surprise of Chace Crawford, alias the Deep, former student of Godolkin University and member of the Seven. He will resume his role as Guest Star in this season 2, which also promises multiple cameos from the extended universe of The Boys.
Among the new features, Ethan Slater (Wicked) joins the casting in a recurring role, that of Thomas Godolkin, with the evocative name. The intrigue will resume at Godolkin University, while the rest of the country bends under the growing domination of Homelander. The new dean of the school, whose intentions are trouble, pushes a program aimed at making young super powerful than ever. For their part, Cate and Sam have become popular figures, while Marie, Jordan and Emma struggle to regain a normal life on a campus still marked by violence. Quickly, tensions ride: a war between humans and supers seems inevitable, and a secret program linked to the origins of the university could be the trigger.
