Harry Potter: the first secrets of the new Hermione
Young Arabella Stanton opens up (a little) as she begins filming which will occupy the next ten years of her life.
The new generation of Hogwarts students has returned to school.
HBO is actively working on its Harry Potter series, and young Arabella Stanton, 11, has just spoken for the first time about her role as Hermione Granger, taking up the torch from Emma Watson.
During an interview with the Associated Press, the British actress confirmed that she had “just started filming” the highly anticipated reboot and could not say much:
“I can’t say much, because they cast a ‘Mimblewimble’ spell on me to tie my tongue!”

A fan of the saga since childhood, the young actress says she devoured the books from the age of eight:
“I read all the volumes in one go, and I loved it. I always loved Harry Potter.”
Passionate about reading and writing, she also explains what brings her closer to her character: “I like books, I like writing, I like reading… I like school, but not as much as Hermione! Books are clearly what we have in common.”
Asked about the magical objects that make her dream, she without hesitation cites the Time Turner and the Invisibility Cloak: “They are impossible things in real life, but in the magical world, they transport you somewhere else.”
Arabella Stanton, aware of the scope of the role, concluded by paying tribute to Emma Watson, who played Hermione in the films: a role model she deeply admires. “It’s a dream come true.”
We will see her in action in 2027 in the Harry Potter series on HBO.
