In which hotels will season 4 of White Lotus be filmed in France?
Most of the plot should take place in a palace on the Côte d’Azur, with a detour to Paris.
After Hawaii, Sicily and Thailand, Mike White’s anthological saga will settle in France for the fourth season of The White Lotus.
According to Variety, production has already started scouting five-star hotels in Paris and the French Riviera, with prestigious properties like the Lutetia and the Ritz in its sights.
Like season 3 – mainly filmed in Koh Samui but which made a detour to Bangkok – the plot should take place mainly on the Riviera, with a sub-arc in Paris. No hotel has yet been made official and filming is only scheduled for 2026, according to sources close to the project.
Unlike previous seasons, HBO is not renewing its marketing partnership with the Four Seasons channel. The choice of other Parisian palaces, such as the Lutetia on the Left Bank of the Capital or the Ritz on Place Vendôme, demonstrates a desire to broaden the decor while retaining the luxury and opulence dear to the series.
Mike White, always a fan of mystery, dropped a few clues during the “after the episode” video broadcast after the season 3 finale: “For the fourth season, I want to move away a little from the crashing waves on the rocks. There is always room for more murders in the White Lotus hotels”.
As every season, we will find rich Americans on vacation and their interactions with the locals, mixing French and international actors.
