James Cameron leaves Pandora for Billie Eilish: trailer

After Avatar, the director follows the singer on tour and signs a 3D film which promises to be quite spectacular.

Always up for the big show, James Cameron is tackling the scale of Billie Eilish’s concerts on the big screen.

Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour (3D)whose enticing trailer dropped this weekend, will endeavor to surpass the limits of the traditional concert film: expected in theaters in March 2026, this feature film was captured during a sold-out world tour, and presents itself as a great immersive experience with extraordinary means. Eilish and Cameron, co-directors, rely heavily on 3D, which has been somewhat neglected by cinema in recent times. From the first images of the trailer, the camera plunges into the heart of the scene, captures the moving crowd and multiplies the points of view.

The trailer alternates between spectacular sequences and more restrained moments, filmed behind the scenes or in moments of transition. Billie Eilish appears both as an indisputable global pop figure and an artist aware of the emotional and physical weight imposed by a tour of this magnitude. Will the result be up to par? See you next March 18 at the cinema to find out for sure.
