“Across both trilogies, the hallmark of the Middle-earth films has always been the formidable display of talent recruited for each role“, said Andy Serkis. “The Hunt for Gollum continues this tradition, and I’m delighted to announce the return of two of Middle-earth’s favorite actors, alongside some exceptionally talented new additions to Tolkin’s world.”
The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum will be released in cinemas in France on December 15, 2027. The film will take place between the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings trilogies and will tell the story of Aragorn and Gandalf’s hunt for Gollum, in search of additional information on Bilbo’s Ring.
