Justine Triet back, more than two years after Anatomy of a Fall?

The director would have gone back to filming… for her 5th film?

After winning the Palme d’Or and the Oscar for best original screenplay for Anatomy of a Fall, Justine Triet needed a break. And the French director seems to be on her way back to the set.

A message posted on Instagram by its producer, Marie Ange Luciani, shows Justine Triet on set with her team, including director of photography Tom Harari. The legend: “Justine and her gang”accompanied by a few emojis suggesting something is brewing.

So what will be the filmmaker’s fifth film? Rumors surrounding a Daniel Clowes adaptation are circulating. Last year, Triet confirmed that it had been approached to produce the adaptation of Monicathe graphic novel by Daniel Clowes, with Cate Blanchett attached to the project. However, she clarified that she had not yet made a decision.

Last May, Variety reported that Triet was going to shoot something soon in English with “major stars attached”.

In Clowes’ novel, the author mixes several genres by separating them by chapter and tells the story of a young girl in search of her mother and her mysterious past. To be continued…
