Lady Gaga will be in The Devil Wears Prada 2

The singer was spotted in Milan on set, for her first film role since the flop of Joker 2.

The sequel could well be even more glamorous than the original!

After Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci were spotted together in the front row of the Dolce & Gabbana show during Milan Fashion Week, it’s Lady Gaga who takes the podium at Devil wears Prada 2.

The Oscar-winning and multi-award-winning singer and actress is expected to play a small role, which she filmed between two dates of her current world tour, the Mayhem Ball Tour. Fresh from four sold-out nights at London’s O2 Arena, she was spotted in Milan, where the film is being shot. Prada 2 will thus mark Gaga’s big return to the cinema, after the crash of Joker: Folie à Deux (and a brief appearance in the Netflix series Wednesday earlier this year). This stint filming with Meryl Streep was just a break in Lady Gaga’s concert series, who has already returned to the road for her concert planned in Stockholm, at the Avicii Arena.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 began filming in New York this summer. Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt will also return to the cast.

The screenplay, still kept secret, would follow Miranda Priestly (Streep), the ruthless editor-in-chief of Runwayfaced with the decline of the paper press. She would find herself face to face with her former assistant (Blunt), who has become a powerful executive of a luxury group, holder of vital advertising budgets for the magazine.

Director David Frankel and screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna, already at the helm of the first film, are also back.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 will be released in theaters on May 1, 2026.
