Leaving one day: the opening film of Cannes 2025 reveals its trailer
Juliette Armanet and Bastien Bouillon find themselves in a story of love and nostalgia, the first feature film by Amélie Bonin.
It is on the Croisette, on the occasion of the opening of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival that cinema lovers will have the opportunity to discover the first feature film ofAmélie Bonnin.
Go on a day is taken from his eponymous short film, released in 2021 and awarded a César in 2023. He recounts the reunion between two childhood friends.
Will this feature film adaptation meet the same success? The trailer is already promising (see below).
For the moment, we only know that the title and the actors remain identical while the scenario is entirely reversed. And yes, it is no longer the Cesarized actor, Bastien Bouillon (The night of 12) which finds the roots of her native land but the singer, Juliette Armanet. However, the French director has not changed her subject: it is always the reunion of a love of youth that awakens intense memories and emotions borrowed from nostalgia.
In this new version, Juliette Armanet embodies the role of Cécile, a gastronomic chef who, when fulfilling her professional dream, is rushing into her childhood village after learning that her father had made a heart attack. This return to the sources of his life as a young girl makes him cross path of Raphaël – played by Bastien Bouillon – Ex-childhood and incidentally, ancient love of youth.
The casting is completed by François Rollin (Kaamelott),, Tewfik Jallab (Born somewhere) And Dominique Blanc (Stand-by).
In addition to its inauguration in Cannes, Go on a day will be released in theaters on May 13.
