Moana 2: the new trailer reveals the new songs

“Finally here we are… in our Paradise!”

She will continue to sing of the Pacific Ocean. Moana 2 will be animated by new, unpublished songs which will have the difficult task of succeeding “Pour les hommes” and “Le Bleu Lumière”… We hear a few snippets of these new pieces in the new trailer that Disney has just put online (below).

We also discover the central point of the story: Moana will discover the existence of a very distant island cursed by a God thirsty for power. If she can reach her shore, she will break the curse and her people can finally be reunited…

“There are ancient stories in which sailors from different islands take advantage of their journeys across the Pacific Ocean to get to know each other. We were inspired by this idea and imagined that a long time ago, many sea lanes led to a specific location providing seafarers from all walks of life with a territory to come together, learn from each other and share experiences Until one day Nalo – the god of storms who. rejected any idea of human brotherhood – caused the island to sink to the bottom of the ocean, forever cursing the place and making all the paths leading to it disappear” says the director Dana Ledoux Miller – who co-wrote the screenplay with Jared Bush.

The music is by Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, Opetaia Foa’i (the founder and leader of the group Te Vaka) and Mark Mancina.

Moana 2 will be released in cinemas on November 27, 2024 in France.
