Pretty Little Liars is over again: no season 3 on Max

The spin-off series of the cult teen series, subtitled “Original Sin,” has been canceled.

In 2022, just five years after the end of pretty Little Liarsthe Max platform tried to revive the teen phenomenon by launching a spin-off series subtitled “Original Sin”. Then, a second season, titled “Summer School”, was broadcast between May and June 2024. But there will be no season 3.

The new series has failed to renew the buzz of the previous one. And the Warner Bros. platform draws the necessary conclusions:

“Max will not continue with a third season of pretty Little Liarsbut we are so grateful to our co-creators, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Lindsay Calhoon Bring, and the team at Warner Bros. Television, for reintroducing fans to this new take on the Liars as they unite to fight the latest scary villain to terrify Millwood.”Max comments in a press release.

“Their unique and modern creative vision – combined with the immense talent of our cast and crew – gave the series a fun and horror-filled take that paid homage to its original roots, the series in Rosewood..”

The cast included Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles, Maia Reficco, Mallory Bechtel, Sharon Leal, Alex Aiono, Jordan Gonzalez, and Elias Kacavas.

Note that this was the fourth television series in the franchise. pretty Little Liarsinspired by the books by Sara Shepard. Two other spin-offs, Ravenswood And The Perfectionistshave already been cancelled previously. This new buried spin-off series could well put a final nail in the coffin PLL.

Note that a petition is already underway to try to save the show.
