Scarlett Johansson should return for Jurassic World 5
After the great success of Jurassic World Renaissance, a sequel is planned at Universal and director Gareth Edwards should return to service with the same cast.

Released in theaters in the United States last July, Jurassic World Renaissance relaunched the saga with quite a bit of success: nearly $868.5 million raised worldwide. This fourth part of the branch world and seventh opus since Jurassic Park (1993) is in the top 5 biggest hits of the year 2025. The reviews have been rather positive. And in this gloomy time in theaters, this is the kind of license we are counting on.
Universal and Amblin Partners are already preparing a new film. And Jurassic World 5 should be the direct sequel.
According to Jeff Sneider (The InSneider), Gareth Edwards is in final negotiations to direct the film, having already signed Renaissance (after doing Godzilla (2014), Rogue One: A Star Wars Story).
On the casting side, three returns would almost be confirmed: Scarlett Johansson will return to play the headliner, supported by Jonathan Bailey – recently voted the sexiest man in the world, and the excellent Mahershala Ali. They will reprise their characters of Zora Bennett, Dr. Henry Loomis and mercenary Duncan Kincaid.
At this point, no screenwriter has yet been announced and the studio is keeping the script under full embargo. Universal is reportedly aiming for a release in 2027 or 2028, with the project now considered a priority.
It remains to be seen what that would be about. Let us recall that at the start of Jurassic World Renaissance, we learned that, five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominionthe planet became largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those who remain survive in isolated equatorial areas…
