Terrifying Trailer for James Wan’s New Series: Teacup
But what is this thing that threatens Maggie and James Chenoweth’s family in the depths of Georgia?
He is one of the new masters of horror: James Wan is back with Teacupa new horror series that today unveiled a terrifying trailer (below). A mysterious danger threatens a nice little family living on a remote ranch in Georgia. But what is going on? And who are these masked people who seem to want to protect them?
Two years after the Netflix phenomenon series Archive 81, James Wan adapts the novel Stinger by Robert McCammon. The trailer shows a child disappearing into the woods and returning talking about a man talking to him in his head, while a guy in a gas mask draws a line that must not be crossed while warning the family not to trust anyone. But what threat is about to invade their home?
James Wan explains that he loved Robert McCammon’s book: “Prepare yourself for a truly breathtaking experience. Teacup will be a mix of horror, mystery and drama, thought through a captivating puzzle. It goes beyond chills and thrills and the series wants to hold a mirror to humanity, exploring the darkness that resides in each of us..”
The cast will include the former star of Chuck, Yvonne Strahovskifacing the actor of Grey’s Anatomy Scott Speedman. Chaske Spencer, Kathy Baker, Boris McGiver, Caleb Dolden, Emilie Bierre and Luciano Leroux complete the cast.
Teacup will be broadcast from October 10th in streaming on the Peacock platform in the USA. No broadcaster in France yet.
