The Annecy festival announces the official selection of its 63rd edition
On the program: a new poster, a new country – Hungary – and a new guest of honor, Michel Gondry.
On the occasion of his press conference, the Annecy festival unveiled a colorful poster, the names of the Official selection and other elements of the programming of this new edition which will be held From June 8 to 14, 2025. After Portugal, it is the turn of Hungarian animation to be put in the spotlight.
By the lake, Michel Gondry will present his new film, which is called Maya, give me another title And will receive an honor crystal.
The 2025 edition of the Animation Festival will also be an opportunity to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the international animated film market (Mifa).
The official programming offers a selection of animated films from all over the world to celebrate the art of imagination. On the French production side, we will discover the long -awaited Marcel and Mr. Pagnol from Sylvain Chomet, ARCO of Ugo welcome and Amélie and the metaphysics of the tubes by Maïlys Vallade and Liane-Cho Han, all three presented in special session in Cannes. Will also be there, Allah is not obliged from Zaven Najjar and Planets From Momoko Seto who ends the week of criticism at the Croisette. The major studios will notably reveal the first images of Zootopia 2 For Disney, those of Bad Guys 2 For DreamWorks and those of the animation series Stranger Things For Netflix.
