The Ciné-Citoyen festival will launch its very first edition

From June 18 to 21, the cinemas of Vannes welcome a selection of feature films in the presence of renowned actors and directors. The opportunity to come together to debate and celebrate the love of cinema.

It is a brand new festival that prepares his arrival at Valve From June 18 to 21. On the program: Citizen debates and reflections on projected films. A way to discuss contemporary subjects through the prism of cinema. Set up by the director Frédéric Tellier (The SK1 affair,, Save or perish,, Goliath…) and the journalist from Ouest-France Philippe Lemoine,, Cinema promotes the expression of opinions. The objective of this new festival? Celebrate films that resonate and lift a veil on our world. Supported by the city of Vannes, the agglomeration community, the department of Morbihan, the Brittany region, Cinéville and many private partners, this celebration warmly welcomes all the moviegoers in a trip to the heart of Brittany.

Cinema-citizen, it is not only a competition of unpublished feature films, it is also a Retrospective of great heritage films. The opportunity to rediscover sublime classics of cinema in Breton rooms as Missing of Costa Gavras,, War of Stéphane Brizé,, The drunkenness of power of Claude Chabrol And many others!

Ciné-Citoyen, the new film festival signed Ouest-France arrives in Vannes

After unveiling the festival poster, it is the jury’s turn and selected films to reveal their identity.

Note that the Cinema will not welcome one but three juries for this very first edition!

The official jury will be chaired by Thomas Bidegain with Zita Hanrot,, Andréa Bescond,, Déborah François And Pascal Demolon. The young jury will be made up of 6 cinema enthusiasts from 15 to 19 years old. Finally, The solidarity jury will be in partnership with the Habitat and Humanism Association. The diversity of the chosen personalities marks a desire to integrate all generations and to legitimize all the sensitivities in this great cinephile adventure.
