Scream screenwriter Kevin Williamson is preparing four shows, including two based on cult films, for Universal.

What exactly is he talking about? According to Deadline, he has just signed for four series projects, including two adaptations of cult films, with the studio. These audiovisual plans notably include the rewriting of a great classic in the history of cinema, Rear window.
Prominent horror screenwriter behind the franchises Scream (available on FirstMax) And Remember last summer, Kevin Williamson tackles the work of an icon of the genre, the master of suspense Alfred Hitchcock. The opportunity for this thriller-loving author to reconnect with the genre, for a series intended for the Peacock streaming platform.

The third project is an adaptation of the author’s book Ruth Ware, The It Girlwhich follows a woman’s quest for truth as she seeks answers about the death of her best friend ten years ago. Finally, The Waterfront is an original series that follows the adventures of a team specializing in the fight against human traffickers in North Carolina. The project highlights the story of a dysfunctional family, the Buckleys, whose fishing business is collapsing.
