The director of Terrifier 3 is already preparing Terrifier 4

He assures that if he is planning something very experimental, there is a red line that even he will not cross.

It pushes the limits of gore for the sake of box office. Damien Leone imagined the killer clown Terrifywhich has been making a killing in theaters for several days with Terrify 3all over the world. A juicy saga, which has not finished dripping onto our screens.

As with its predecessors (Saw, Evil Dead, Paranormal Activity…), the saga will drag on over time and Terrify 4 is already in motion. There is also a cliffhanger at the end of the third opus, which will immediately transition into this fourth film, which Leone confirmed was in development (via Variety). Without saying too much, he suggests that this will be the last part:

“Terrify 4 will certainly be an epic showdown, an epic conclusion to this Art the Clown saga. I have in mind this somewhat crazy and very experimental idea, in certain respects, which amuses me… So I can’t speak too much on the question. But I can tell you that some really, really crazy things will happen in the next one.“

Crazy, horrible, terrifying… But not without limits. Even Art the Clown has his red line. Damien Leone confides to Variety that he is always in search of “limits to cross, to push back, even to trample on. But we can fall into an extreme level of disgust when doing this. A level I try not to reach.”

The director returns, for example, to the murder scene at the beginning of Terrify 3 : “HASrt kills a child off screen and we hear it. I could have shown that on screen in a glorious way. But I would never do it, because to me it’s completely off-putting. This type of child murder risks alienating a large majority of the public. It’s like trying to shock the audience into despair. It’s counterproductive. I believe it is my job as an artist to try to follow this course of action in a responsible manner..”
