The great MCU X-Men film would be on track with the director of Thunderbolts*

The director of Thunderbolts confides in his reboot of the X-Men

Jake Schreier describes the franchise “intrinsically interesting and complex material”.

A few months after the release of Thunderbolts*in an interview for The playlistthe director, Jake Schreier, talks about the reboot of X-Menemotional complexity and mutant metaphors. The filmmaker’s ascent was done discreetly: he first made himself known via independent cinema with Robot & Frank and touching adaptation, Paper Towns. But it’s his work on Beef (Netflix) which allowed him to make a place for himself and which earned him an appointment to the Emmy Awards – for the best realization – and crystallized the common thread of his career: his interest in suffering people.

This concern is found in Thunderbolts* which looks at the interior injuries of his anti-heroes. X-Men should follow the same path: a few days ago, the Boss of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, spoke about the future of mutants before confirming a rumor for a long time: the X-Men by Jake Schreier will be a younger version with more emotions:

“” “Jake will make a reboot focused on youth. It may be reflected in the casting of mutants, and it will certainly be felt in the tone and the prospect of the film. “

Long awaited, the project remains surrounded by mystery, but Schreier sheds light on us:

“” “X-Men’s fundamental idea is based on complexity. It is an incredible opportunity, with extremely interesting characters and many internal conflicts. These characters fight for their identity and their place in the world – it is an intrinsically interesting and complex subject. “

Since their creation in the 1960s, the X-Men served as a powerful metaphor for marginalization. The X-Men reboot has not yet a release date.
