The Hannibal series back … with Zendaya in Clarice Starling?

The creator, Bryan Fuller, wants to make the lamb’s silence on the small screen …

Ten years after the end of Hannibal on NBC, its creator Bryan Fuller did not give up the idea of resuscitating his bloody thriller. And he even has a muse in mind: Zendaya.

He entrusts Screenrant:

“My dream project would be to make a mini-series adapted from the silence of the lambs with Mads Mikkelsen and Zendaya in the role of Clarice Starling. Ideally, if I could do something in this universe, that would be it.”

For the time being, no official return of the series or adaptation has been confirmed. But the idea is already making a lot of talk: see Zendaya taking up the iconic role of the young recruit of the FBI embodied in 1991 by Jodie Foster and who had the Oscar for the best actress at the time, would necessarily be an event.

During its broadcast between 2013 and 2015, the Hannibal series featured Mads Mikkelsen Lecter against Hugh Dancy profiling, Will Graham. The series had never been able to join Clarice Starling, the rights of Thomas Harris’ novel then belonging to another studio. CBS had also attempted in 2021 a derivative series, Clarice, remained without follow -up.

Today, a Hannibal revival remains possible, even if Mads Mikkelsen has become an international star. He also played the first role of the first film by Bryan Fuller, which is released this fall.

The fact remains that Zendaya is certainly the busiest actress of the moment. She will be back in 2026 in season 3 of Euphoria on HBO, before continuing with the Spider-Man blockbusters: Brand New Day and Dune 3, when she has just finished the Odyssey of Christopher Nolan.
