The Marrakech Festival unveils its prestigious jury, chaired by Bong Joon-ho
The Korean filmmaker will be notably supported by Julia Ducournau, Jenna Ortega and Anya Taylor-Joy.
The Marrakech International Film Festival has revealed the composition of the jury for its 22nd edition, which will be held from November 28 to December 6, 2025.
A prestigious jury, chaired by Bong Joon-ho and bringing together personalities from the seventh art from four continents: American stars Jenna Ortega and Anya Taylor-Joy, French director Julia Ducournau, Iranian actor Payman Maadi, Brazilian director Karim Aïnouz, Moroccan filmmaker Hakim Belabbes and Canadian filmmaker Celine Song.
Fourteen first and second feature films are presented in official competition at the Marrakech Festival, which focuses on the discovery of new international talents.
The event will also be marked by its “Conversations”, with an equally exceptional list of big names. On the program: Andrew Dominik, Laurence Fishburne, Jodie Foster, Kleber Mendonça Filho, Jafar Panahi, Tahar Rahim, Virginie Efira and Chiara Mastroianni, as well as the Egyptian actress Yousra, icon of Arab cinema.
