The new Belphégor unveils its trailer

An adaptation of The Phantom of the Louvre for HBO Max in streaming and then for M6 in clear.

More than twenty years after Sophie Marceau in the cinema, it is Shirine Boutella’s turn to be confronted with Belphégor.

The Phantom of the Louvre returns to its serial roots in an event fiction, produced by Pathé in association with HBO Max and M6. It will be available in full on HBO Max from December 11, 2025, before its broadcast on M6 and M6+ in 2026. Sixty years after the original ORTF version, which marked an entire country and the collective imagination, the trailer, intense and mysterious as it should be, has just been released (see below).

At the center of the story, Hafsa (played by Shirine Boutella), a young art restorer recently recruited at the Louvre, sees her life turned upside down the day she comes across a thousand-year-old mask of the storm god Belphégor. From then on, she finds herself caught in a spiral of inexplicable disappearances. To reveal the truth, Hafsa will have to face those who are tracking her… but also her own ghosts.

Around Shirine Boutella, a five-star cast: Vincent Elbaz, Aure Atika, Tiphaine Daviot, Nicolas Briançon, without forgetting Kad Merad, present in a mysterious role.
