Andrea Arnold, Jacques Audiard, George Miller, Gilles Lellouche, Francis Ford Coppola, Noémie Merlant, Leos Carax, David Cronenberg, Serguei Loznitsa, Yorgos Lanthimos… All return to the Croisette!
The 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival will be held from May 15 to 24, 2024. Like last year, its opening and closing ceremonies will be broadcast live on France Télévisions. They will be hosted by Camille Cottin. Its general delegate Thierry Frémaux and its president Iris Knobloch announced this morning the list of films selected in and out of competition. We share it below.
Remember that this year, it is Greta Gerwigacclaimed worldwide for the crazy success of barbie last year, which will chair the jury of the official competition.

We already knew that Furiosa: A Mad Max Sagaby George Miller, would be screened out of competition alongside Horizon, by Kevin Costner, and their selection was confirmed this morning. As the Honorary Palme d’Or awarded to George Lucas.
Tuesday May 15 is The Second Act by Quentin Dupieux, who will open the festivitiesalso out of competition.
