The shooting of the Narnia of Greta Gerwig for Netflix began: First images
Production has just started in London.
In preparation for months, the shooting of Narnia Signed Greta Gerwig has officially started.
While a postponement had been announced in recent weeks, production has indeed started this summer in London (as was initially planned).
The first photos of the tray shared on the networks show the first shots in London, while Netflix provides for The world of Narnia: the Magician’s nephew A limited release in IMAX theaters for two weeks in November 2026, before a global arrival on the streaming platform on December 25, 2026.

On these shots of the shooting, we can see Gerwig leading two children dressed in costumes reminiscent of the 1950s: a girl with curly hair in blue dress and a brown boy in sleeveless vest, who would play Polly Plummer and Digory Kirke respectively. These shots also confirm that the action of this reboot will take place in the 1950s, not at the beginning of the 20th century as in original novels.
Directed and written by Greta Gerwig, this new opus already benefits from a prestigious cast: Emma Mackey, Daniel Craig, Carey Mulligan and Meryl Streep, which will lend her voice to the Lion Aslan.
