Especially accustomed to the big screen, Sigourney Weaver, aka the “Queen of Sci-Fi”, will soon be featured in a Prime video series: wild flowers.
Adapted from Holly Ringland’s bestseller which won the ABIA award the year it was released in 2019, the 7-part series tells the story of Alice Hart (played by Alicia Debman-Carey) who loses her parents to the age of nine during a tragic and mysterious fire. Taken to live with her grandmother June (Weaver) in a flower farm, she will discover that her family hides many secrets.
An allegory that addresses the theme of the sufferings we inherit. Those we keep in spite of ourselves, and those we decide to defeat.
Wildflowersby Sarah Lambert, with Sigourney Weaver, Alicia Debman-Carey, Alyla browne, will be broadcast from August 4 on Prime Video.
