Timothée Chalamet reveals favorite movie he starred in and it’s not the one you’re thinking
Call me by your Name? Dune? Marty Supreme? Wonka? The Franco-American actor responds…
At 30, Timothée Chalamet has become one of the most prominent faces of his generation. The youngest actor to receive three nominations for the Oscar for Best Actor since Marlon Brando in 1954, he has a string of blockbusters and arthouse films.
However, his favorite project is not a film that made him a star. It’s not a film that gave him a place in the sun in Hollywood or a nomination for a trophy. It’s not even for a main role… No, his best memory is when he was invited to participate in Interstellarthe film by Christopher Nolan.

During a screening organized by the American Cinematheque, Chalamet returned to Interstellarthe science fiction film released in 2014. He played Tom, the son of the character played by Matthew McConaughey. A brief, almost discreet role: “If I remember correctly, I think I was 12th on the service sheet…” he specifies. In other words, a third role. But a decisive role for his motivation as a young actor who is struggling:
“Even though my role in Interstellar isn’t huge… it came at a time in my life and career where nothing was established yet. And it remained my favorite project. It’s the film I’ve seen the most in my entire life. I am immensely grateful to have been a part of it. If today my life is made up of abundance, this film was like a little emerald. It arrived when I really needed it…”
Often considered Nolan’s most personal work, Interstellar explores the bond between a father and his daughter through a space odyssey. The film received five Academy Award nominations and won for Best Visual Effects.
And Timothée Chalamet is currently favorite to win the Oscar for Best Actor thanks to Marty Supreme.
