Toxic Avenger offers a new gore and surreal trailer
A new video that confirms a little more the ultra-violent tone of the film.
He is not likely to be part of Avengers For Doomsday Or Secret Wars. Peter Dinklage will be the Toxic Avengercompletely crazy and bloody hero, like the trailer that has just been revealed.
The video begins as an advertisement for the fictitious fast food restaurant “Miss Meat”. Suddenly a hostage -taking at the establishment. And the Toxic Avenger Lands to face one of the armed men, armed with a simple mop, he strikes a blow so violent that he literally tears half the jaw of his opponent, thus confirming the ultra-violent tone of the film which will not at all be classified as any public.
The film had also encountered difficulty finding a distributor because of its extreme violence. Cineverse finally concluded an agreement with Lionsgate to distribute Toxic Avenger.
The shooting took place in 2021, and it was presented in preview at the Fantastic Fest in 2023, before being screened in several other film festivals the same year. This reboot is a new version of the 1984 cult film directed by Michael Herz and Lloyd Kaufman, produced by Troma Entertainment. The original has acquired a cult film status and generated a real media franchise centered on its radioactive antiheros.
The remake of The Toxic Avenger will be released on August 29, 2025 in the United States. No date in France yet.
