Trailer for the new NCIS in New York with LL Cool J

Sam Hanna from NCIS: Los Angeles moves to the east coast, in this new spin-off of the franchise, expected this fall on CBS.

Sam Hanna is back.

After spending years on special missions for NCIS: Los Angeles, he returns to New York in the first trailer for NCIS: New York. And this time, it’s a personal matter that will push him to return to service.

When a Navy reservist, Jack Halloway, is found dead, Sam asks Robyn Wells (Jennifer Beals), deputy director of the local office, to entrust him with the investigation. The case quickly grows and Sam must form a new team to find those responsible for his friend’s death.

The trailer notably presents the agents who will accompany him. Wyatt Sellers (Shane Harper) is an agent from Alaska, known for his toughness but also for his loyalty. Addy Ross (Jacqueline Byers) is a military child who learned early on not to let herself be walked on. As for Sean Sullivan (Devin Druid), a former hacker, he joins the team as part of a sanction linked to an old crime.

But NCIS: New York is not going to completely cut ties with the original series.

Brian Dietzen, who plays forensic pathologist Jimmy Palmer in NCIS, will make an appearance in the spin-off. And it obviously won’t be the only familiar face to pass through New York: “A big part of the DNA of this show was family. And we’re all in the same universe, so you can absolutely expect to see some familiar faces coming to visit us for a while,” promised executive producer Byron Balasco.

With LL Cool J at the center of the team, NCIS: New York therefore intends to extend the universe of the franchise while offering it a new setting. The series will begin on October 6, 2026 in the United States on CBS. The series does not yet have a French date.
