Superb trailer for the animated return of Star Wars: visions
9 new short films made by 9 different Japanese studios, in the world of very distant galaxy.
Lucasfilm unveils volume 3 of Star Wars: visions, its anthology that plays with the manga and anime codes in the George Lucas universe.
Nine unpublished short films, signed by as many Japanese studios, will be available in a single salvo from October 29 on Disney+. A different way of showing the galaxy very distant.
After the critical success of the first two volumes, this new season entrusts nine Japanese studios that it is responsible for revisiting the Star Wars universe in their own way. The result: a dive into the excitement of contemporary Japanese animation, between visual audacity, diversity of styles and narrative richness.
On the voice side, the original version can count on a pack of stars: Anna Sawai, Freddie Highmore, George Takei, Harvey Guillén, Jodie Turner-Smith, Judith Light, Simu Liu, Stephanie Hsu and Steve Buscemi.

The Duel: Payback (Takanobu Mizuno – Kamikaze Douga + Anima): Ronin faces his biggest enemy, a Jedi Devors and eager for revenge.

The Song of Four Wings (Hiroyasu Kobayashi – Project Studio Q): A rebellious princess protects a child from the Empire on a snowy planet.

The Ninth Jedi: Child of Hope (Naoyoshi Shiotani – IG production): Kara, hunted down by Jedi hunters, discovers an abandoned vessel kept by a mysterious droid.

The Bounty Hunter (Junichi Yamamoto – Wit Studio): a lonely bounty hunter accepts a contract with unexpected consequences.

Yuko’s Treasure (Masaki Tachibana – Kinema Citrus): an orphan and a child from the streets unite their strengths to save a droid and find a forgotten treasure.

The Lost Ones (Hitoshi Haga – Kinema Citrus): a mysterious unknown must face its past when the Empire intercepts the refugee vessel it helps.

The Smuggler (Masahiko Otsuka – Trigger): a smuggler agrees to protect a young prince prosecuted by the Empire.

The Bird of Paradise (Tadahiro Yoshihira – Polygon Pictures): a blinded padawan must overcome spiritual trials to resist the dark side.
