Snoop Dogg announces filming of his biopic this summer

The director of Hustle and Flow is at the helm of the film.

Snoop Dogg was on stage at CinemaCon a few days ago to tease his biopic, along with the actor who will play him on screen, Jonathan Daviss (Outer Banks).

I wish I could give you more details. But there aren’t many at the moment. Filming will begin this summer in Los Angeles. We’ll be back at CinemaCon next year with a trailer.

This Universal-produced biopic is expected to be released next year, reports World of Real.

If we are to believe producer Donna Langley, the feature film will be in the same vein as the documentary, NWA: Straight Outta Compton.
