Trailer for the biopic on American chef Anthony Bourdain

While a biopic around Bernard Loiseau is being prepared in France, a very popular American chef will first be entitled to his film.
A24 has just revealed the first trailer for Tonythe biopic dedicated to American chef Anthony Bourdain, with Dominic Sessa in the lead role.
The film is set in 1976, a time when a young Bourdain has a life-changing experience in Provincetown, Massachusetts. A passage in his life which will profoundly influence the trajectory of the future cult leader and author.
As a reminder, Anthony Bourdain, chef who became a television star on CNN, only launched into professional cooking two years after the period recounted in the film. He became known worldwide with his book Kitchen Confidentialbefore becoming an essential figure in cooking shows with No Reservations And Parts Unknown. He died in 2018 near Colmar, at the age of 61.
Dominic Sessa, revealed in The Holdoversshares the poster with Antonio Banderas, who plays a restaurateur of Brazilian origin who takes young Tony under his wing.
The cast also brings together Emilia Jones, Dagmara Domińczyk, Rich Sommer, Stavros Halkias, as well as Leo Woodall.
Directed by Matt Johnson, with a screenplay by Todd Bartels and Lou Howe, the film is produced by A24, which continues to explore portraits of notable figures with a highly stylized approach.
Theatrical release next August.
