Ana Girardot in a gripping agricultural thriller: trailer

In The Price War, the actress fights against the manufacturers.

A woman, gray, closed faces, constant mist and screams, The Price War is revealed in a distressing trailer.

We knew him as an actor with Tip of love, Barbara, Midwife or even The Legends Office. Anthony Dechaux steps behind the camera for his first feature film as director.

A casting carried by Ana Girardot (Two me), Julien Frison (The Three Musketeers) of the Comédie Française and Olivier Gourmet (An intimate conviction).

We remember Red the film by Farid Bentoumi, from Goliath with Emmanuelle Bercot or even In the name of the earth with Guillaume Canet. In recent years, several feature films which recount the struggle of the agricultural world have surfaced in French cinemas. If Olivier Gourmet had already distinguished himself in a film depicting the battle of farmers against the giants of industry, The Land of Menthis is the first time that we find Ana Girardot in a feature film that deals with this subject.

Nevertheless, The Price War differs a little from these achievements. Anthony Dechaux’s feature film tackles commercial negotiations and their impact, a subject little discussed in cinema. A very realistic work for a director who claims to have “no connection with the agricultural environment at the base.”

The film opened the 8th edition of the International Political Film Festival last month.

Synopsis: “Audrey, daughter of farmers and department manager in a hypermarket in the provinces, finds herself propelled to her brand’s purchasing center in order to defend the organic and local sector. While she teams up with a negotiator with formidable methods, Audrey will have to fight to make her convictions exist within a ruthless system.

The Price War will be released on March 18 in French theaters. Trailer:
