Ahsoka and Anakin reunited in season 2 trailer

The Jedi played by Rosario Dawson returns to a galaxy far, far away. Disney+ has just revealed the first trailer, which notably promises a reunion between Ahsoka and her former master Anakin Skywalker… but also with the terrible Admiral Thrawn.

Are you a Jedi… or not?

Two years after the first season, Ahsoka Tano is preparing to return to service. Disney+ has unveiled the first trailer for season 2 of the Ahsoka series, which will be available from January 20, 2027.

Rosario Dawson obviously takes over the role of the Jedi, which she first played live-action in The Mandalorian. An iconic character from Star Wars animation, Ahsoka was once Anakin Skywalker’s padawan, before leaving the Jedi Order and pursuing her own path.

And the new season promises to continue playing with this past. Hayden Christensen will return in the role of Anakin, for a new reunion with his former apprentice. The trailer also shows the return of Grand Admiral Thrawn, who seems determined to start a new war against the Rebels.

The series thus continues the intrigues launched in the first season, which made it possible to bring several characters from Star Wars Rebels into live-action. Natasha Liu Bordizzo will return as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger and Lars Mikkelsen as Thrawn.

Season 2 will also be marked by a significant change in front of the camera. After Ray Stevenson passed away in May 2023, at the age of 58, the role of Jedi Baylan Skoll was recast. It is now Rory McCann, known in particular for his role as the Hound in Game of Thrones, who will play him.

After having been one of the great figures of Star Wars animation, then of The Mandalorian, Ahsoka continues to take a central place in the saga. And this time, Thrawn’s threat could put the entire galaxy in danger.

See you on January 20, 2027 on Disney+.
