Aaron Pierre will be in Superman 2 after becoming Green Lantern on HBO

The actor will take his first steps this summer in the shoes of John Stewart, before returning to the DC Universe on the big screen.

Like the Marvel Universe, the DC Universe built by James Gunn and Peter Safran has the ambition to mix the stories of the films with those of series.

If the story of Superman has already had direct repercussions in season 2 of Peacemaker, that of Superman 2 will integrate a character developed by DC Studios for the small screen. Aaron Pierre joins the cast of the feature film, and will be Green Lantern in the sequel titled Man of Tomorrow, a year after giving life to John Stewart in the HBO series Lanterns.

Indeed, in Lanterns, Aaron Pierre will play the new terrestrial recruit of the Green Lantern Corps, opposite Kyle Chandler, who will play Hal Jordan, the Lantern responsible for training him. According to the official synopsis, they will find themselves “investigating a murder in the heart of America.”

This Lanterns series will be broadcast in August by HBO (in France on HBO Max). We don’t yet know what will happen, but we understand that Aaron Pierre will finish with the ring on his finger, to return all powerful in Superman: Man of Tomorrow, a few months later, opposite David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult.

The film is scheduled for release on July 7, 2027 in France. Written and directed by James Gunn, the feature film is scheduled to enter production this summer in Atlanta.
